Robin is a Relational Transactional Analysis (TA) Psychotherapist and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, UKCP, EATA, IARTA. She launched her private practice in 2019 opening in South Kensington first, and then in west London, Hammersmith.
Robin is an accredited clinical member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapists & the Professional Standards Authority (UKCP, PSA), and specialises in transactional analysis (TA). This specialism also means that Robin is a clinical member of the International Association of Relational Transactional Analysis (IARTA) and the European Association of Transactional Analysis (EATA) - Robin adheres to the ethical codes of working within all membership organisations.
Robin is also a Visiting Tutor of the TA department at Metanoia Institute in London, and offers supervision and teaching as a PTSTA(P), endorsed by EATA to enter into an ongoing contract of teaching and supervision of TA courses.
Robin gained a Master of Science (MSc) in TA Psychotherapy and holds a 'CTA', the highest level of qualification awarded by the European Association for Transactional Analysis, and is referred to as a Certified Transactional Analyst.
Other qualifications include a postgraduate clinical diploma in TA psychotherapy (Dip Psych), a postgraduate clinical diploma in psychotherapeutic counselling (Dip Psyc. Couns.) awarded by Metanoia Institute in the UK, and a postgraduate certificate in couples counselling accredited by the College of Sexual and Relationship Counsellors (COSRT) led by Juliet Grayson.
Robin's therapy and supervision style is routed in the principles of relational transactional analysis and humanistic values, and her approach is integrative meaning that she uses a variety of interventions and teaches tools taken from the fields of counselling, psychotherapy, positive psychology, and mindfulness, adapted to suit individuals, couples and groups.
At the heart of Robin's work with all her clients lies the use of the relational dynamics (verbal and non-verbal) and transactional analysis i.e. the internal and external narratives and 'transactions' that emerge between herself as therapist and her clients. When this dynamic is bought into awareness in a containing and confidential space, clients suffering from stress, trauma and other challenging behavioural patterns can be integrated and transformed.
Robin works online in the UK and internationally, and face-to-face in London, in private practice in South Kensington (SW7), Chiswick (W4), and Hammersmith (W6).
For those who cannot afford the full cost of private therapy sessions, Robin offers two bursary places subject to availability and a full clinical assessment. Please enquire to be placed on the waiting list.
